Making day plans centered around using the pyrography tool on the lid of my wooden box. I replicated the Metatron’s Cube design – it also features on my embroidered cape and contains 2D drawings of all the platonic solid shapes. Its an apt metaphor for creation and is used a tool for meditative practice across many religions. The intention is to decorate it with my various petroglyphs, symbols and words. A reliquary box to house/hide/contain/protect things. It is an expansion of the ideas I played with last summer, detailed in these blog posts below. A possible home for the words that identified a landscape of sorts from within the labyrinth. A container for sound? Like an old-fashioned jewellery box. I will continue to work away on the surface. The plan is to varnish it when complete.
